Introduction to Prayer is being presented by Deacon Scott Root
Dates: November 7, 14, and 21, 2021
Time: 6 to 9 p.m.
Location: Blessed Stanley Rother Room at Saint Katharine Drexel Church.
Topics addressed in this course include:
- The Nature of Prayer
- Prayer in Scripture and in the life of Christ
- The Various Forms of Christian Prayer
- The Sources of Prayer
- Overcoming Difficulties and Temptations in Prayer
- The Liturgy of the Hours
- In Depth Consideration of The Lord’s Prayer
The course fulfills the requirement for BASIC CATECHETICAL CERTIFICATION for the Diocese of Harrisburg. Attendance at all three sessions is required to receive credit towards the Diocesan Basic Certification.
Sessions will be offered in-person and via Zoom.
There is a $25 fee for participation. No charge if you are a catechist.
