WORSHIP AID FOR MASS FOR THE CARE OF CREATION
On Saturday September 9, 2023 at 10 a.m. the Harrisburg Diocese celebrates the ‘Care for Creation’ Mass at Saint Katharine Drexel Church with Bishop Timothy Senior as celebrant and homilist and Father Kenneth G. Smith as host.
The Ecumenical Season for the Care for Creation began on September 1st with the World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation and concludes on October 4th – the feast day of Saint Francis of Assisi. During this time there will be 8 different presentations offered throughout the Harrisburg Diocese on different topics.
Pope Francis’ message for this season focuses on the theme “Let Justice and Peace Flow” which are inspired by the words of the prophet Amos: “Let justice flow on like a river, righteousness like a never-failing stream”.
Welcome Bishop Timothy Senior to Saint Katharine Drexel Church!
