Luna Donley and Family Could Use Your Help.

July 1, 2023

Dear Friends in Christ,

Happy Independence Day Weekend. Please be safe and enjoy the Fourth!

Considering the message of the Liturgy of the Word this weekend considering generosity and hospitality and charity and love of neighbor, I ask you to consider the following invitation.

Please consider helping this family in their moment of tremendous need.

Taylor and Tricia Donley learned on March 21, 2023, that their unborn daughter, Luna, has a life-threatening birth defect known as CDH – Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia which means that her diaphragm failed to close in her first trimester, allowing the contents of her abdomen, spleen, and bowels to migrate into her chest, impacting the growth and development of her lungs and pushing on her heart and lungs. She will be a patient at CHOP – Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Luna will be placed on a ventilator in NICU until she is able to breathe on her own. This could take 6 to 8 months. Her condition is serious and her family needs prayers and support. They need financial support for all the expenses involved.

I am humbly asking for your prayers and support in any way you can.

1. DOnate through the ‘GO FUND ME’ page on Facebook,  https://gofund.me/ec0a45f2.

2. Please call the parish office for the mailing address for the family if you would like to donate directly.

3. Finally, if you would be prefer to send a check to SKD Parish we will make sure it gets to the family.  Just put in the Memo Line or on the envelope: FOR LUNA’S FAMILY.

For more information, please pick up a copy of my full letter in the narthex this weekend.

Sincerely yours in Christ,

Fr Ken
