From it’s very beginning in 1999, Troop 88 has experienced strong growth in youth membership as well as adult leaders. Starting with just 5 scouts and 5 adult leaders, the troop has grown to presently include 50+ scouts and about 30 adult leaders. Through the years the troop takes tremendous pride in having developed of over 300 young men who have been members of the Troop, with 39 Scouts attaining the rank of Eagle Scout who has gone on to make significant contributions in our community.
The growth and accomplishments in our troop can be attributed to the strength in the scout-led program and experienced adult leadership guiding these scouts. This is evident when youth and their parents visit the troop while determining the best fit for their boy scouting journey. The troop’s annual scout program includes a wide range of activities, including several good turn events, year-round camping and outdoor activities which typically include skiing, hiking, water sports, climbing shooting sports and conservation activities.
