CCD - As a Religious Education Aide, you can help in the classroom to assist Catechists or special needs students. Summer session Aides can also help students with art projects, singing, or with office support.

CCD Teachers - Catechists are needed for Religious Education classes throughout the year on Wednesday evenings, during the school year on Sundays and for summer portions of the Religious Education program. Catechists are also needed for Sacramental Preparation classes on Sundays throughout the school year. In addition, substitutes are needed for all sessions. Training will be provided to all new catechists, so previous experience is not necessary.

Children’s Liturgy of the Word - Every Sunday (except the first Sunday of the month), from September through May,at the 9 AM and 10:30 AM Masses.

Just before the first reading, our celebrant invites the Kindergarten and first grade children to gather with a catechist in the narthex. There the children hear the readings and the gospel in terms they understand, using a "Promise" teaching guide and children's handouts. The children return to the mass during the intercessory prayers.

Volunteers should be confirmed Catholics who are comfortable with children. All volunteers must be cleared through the Commonwealth's Child Abuse Registry. Call the parish office to volunteer - 697-8716 or email SKDparish@comcast.net, or call Ed Powers at 697-0215, email Healthypa@aol.com.
